| On 9 May 2024, our Managing Director and Group CEO, Ms Christina Tee, took on the role of a panellist for the first of three discussions at the National Economic Forum (NEF) 2024. The forum took place at the One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya. Titled “The New Business Deals and The Madani Economy Vision – A Pathway to Economic Transformation?”, the discussion centred on the urgent issue of talent drain in the workforce and the necessity of government intervention. Christina offered her valuable perspective and suggested a two-pronged strategy, recommending the import of skilled foreign workers to address immediate needs, while simultaneously investing in the upskilling and reskilling of local talent. |

| The overarching theme of NEF 2024 was “Strategic Innovation and Global Alliances: Propelling Malaysia to the Forefront of Global Economy”. The forum was designed as an annual platform for leaders of various sectors to engage in critical discussions, including economic transformation and strategic directions, positioning Malaysia as a leading competitive force on the global stage. |
