Our Journey

CAPE EMS BERHAD (CEB) is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider offering a range of contract manufacturing services for end-to-end manufacturing services which entail parts and components sourcing and procurement, production, assembly, testing, packaging up to direct shipment fulfilment.

2013

Tee Kim Chin and Alex Miranda Juntado acquired Toyoplas EMS Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd and renamed it Cape EMS Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd. This marked the beginning of our exciting journey.
2017

We divested the Old EMS Business Unit, which provided electronics manufacturing services for industrial electronic products, to a third party. This strategic decision allowed us to focus on our core strengths and future growth opportunities.
2018

To support our expansion plans, we entered into a sale and purchase agreement to acquire the Senai 227 Factory for RM22.0 million. This acquisition laid the foundation for our continued growth and development.
2019

We leased the Senai 227 Factory to commence EMS for box build products. Additionally, we became the qualified EMS provider for a wireless communication equipment manufacturer from the USA, further strengthening our position in the market. We also expanded our client portfolio by securing EMS orders for smart utility devices for a Japan client. Furthermore, we secured orders for EMS of cordless vacuum cleaners and successfully delivered the first shipment to the USA.
2020

We secured orders for EMS of POS terminals, digital vending machines, and portable printer power desks. Additionally, we expanded our EMS services into consumer electronic products and secured orders for EMS of electronic cigarettes, successfully delivering the first shipment to the USA. We also completed the acquisition of the Senai 227 Factory, solidifying our infrastructure and operational capabilities.
2021

We extended an additional 74,329 sq ft of floor space at the Senai 227 Factory. We also invested in machinery, equipment, and cleanroom facilities to support the EMS of electronic cigarettes, including automated production lines. Additionally, we acquired two pieces of land, namely PLO 226B and PLO 227B, further expanding our footprint.
2022

We further expanded our operations by acquiring the Tebrau 6 Factory for the expansion of our aluminium die-cast manufacturing operations. Simultaneously, Cape Manufacturing commenced EMS of smart utility data collection equipment at our Kempas 6 Factory located in Johor, further diversifying our range of services.
2023

A momentous milestone for us was when Cape EMS Berhad went public and got listed on the Bursa Malaysia Main Board on March 10, 2023. This signified our growth, stability, and commitment to delivering value to our shareholders.
