SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Job Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with product development teams to ensure smooth transition of new products from design to manufacturing. Provide input on manufacturability, production feasibility, and process scalability.
Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshoot process issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles, conducting root cause analysis, and leading initiatives to eliminate waste and streamline processes.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain quality standards, develop testing protocols, and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Equipment and Tooling: Evaluate, select, and implement manufacturing equipment, tools, and technologies to improve productivity, enhance capabilities, and meet production requirements.
Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and training materials. Train manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, and techniques to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects to drive process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and capacity expansion efforts. Develop project plans, coordinate resources, track progress, and communicate results to stakeholders.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards and environmental risks associated with manufacturing processes.
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do
Manage materials ordering, delivery confirmation, scheduling, and on-time delivery to meet master production plan.
Ensure timely material supply by reviewing weekly/monthly production assembly forecast and schedule, ensuring timely updates of order delivery status.
Support monthly and quarterly inventory targets by managing open purchase orders (cancellation, push-out, or rescheduling)
Monitor and address supplier performance (delivery, quality, capacity etc)
Manage materials phase-in/out plan and minimize obsolescence
Review requisitions and MRP output.
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Determines methods of procurement such as direct purchase.
Conducts quarterly supplier reviews.
Analyze market trends.
Coordination with various stakeholders from different factories/departments.
Requirements
Degree / Higher Education (Technical and Engineering discipline preferred).
5 years in related field.
Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as the role requires candidates to deal with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in understanding engineering details, drawings, design principles, and technical terminology.
Thrives in a fast-paced work environment while delivering work in a professional manner.
Creative, innovative, strong team player, team working with all departments and able to lead given tasks.
IT literate such as Microsoft Office, ERP, MES system, CAD, and SolidWorks.
